The reporter learned from the Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Expo that it co-hosted Spring Festival exchange activities with the Consulates General of ASEAN countries in Nanning on February 18. The activities included on-site inspections and discussions, in which both sides talked about friendship and future development, with an aim to gather collective efforts for the high-quality preparation of the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo.

The year 2025 marks the final year of “ASEAN Community Vision 2025” and is also an important milestone in the diplomatic relations between China and several ASEAN countries. The 22nd China-ASEAN Expo will seize new opportunities, embrace the new era of artificial intelligence, and highlight new business opportunities in nine key areas, including the digital economy, green economy, and supply chain connectivity. For the first time, the expo will feature an AI Pavilion, a New Productive Forces Pavilion, and a Blue Economy Exhibition Area, among others, aiming to strengthen cooperation between China and ASEAN in new fields and new tracks and injecting new momentum into regional economic growth.

The exchange activities improved the cooperation and joint-hosting mechanism between both sides. Ideas for the work of the coming expo were shared during the activities, which laid a solid foundation for the high-level preparation of the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo.
