The reporter learned from the Nanning Ethnic Culture and Art Research Institute that Nanning will establish the Nanning Traditional Chinese Opera Museum at Xinhui Academy, where the public can enjoy traditional Chinese opera performances, view exhibitions, experience intangible cultural heritage, and learn about and promote traditional Chinese opera culture.

“We plan to feature art exhibitions, educational experiences, intangible heritage workshops, and traditional Chinese opera customs activities at the Nanning Traditional Chinese Opera Museum. Some of these are already open to the public, with more being developed”, said Fang Ning, Director of the Nanning Ethnic Culture and Art Research Institute. He expressed hope that the museum would serve as a permanent platform for showcasing traditional Chinese opera culture in Nanning, promoting traditional Chinese opera elements, contents, and customs, while supporting the living inheritance of local traditional Chinese opera traditions.
