Recently, the reporter learned from the Nanning Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau and the Taiwan Affairs Office of Nanning Municipal People’s Government that starting from January 27, 2025, Taiwan compatriots who hold their first-ever Taiwan Compatriot Certificate (with the issuance number 01) would be granted free admission to 12 A-class tourist attractions in Nanning within one year from the date of issuance. Notably, Nanning is the first city in Guangxi to introduce such an initiative for “first-time” visitors from Taiwan.
The 12 A-class tourist attractions offering free admission to “first-time” Taiwanese visitors include the Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area and Nanning Zoo, among others. A relevant person in charge from the Taiwan Affairs Office stated that this initiative is an innovative measure to expand and deepen economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between Nanning and Taiwan. The city warmly welcomes Taiwanese visitors for tourism, business visits, research, and exchanges.
