"Hengxian Jasmine Tea" selected into Belt and Road Geographical Indication Brand Promotion List

The reporter has recently learned from Nanning Municipal Market Supervision Administration that the China National Intellectual Property Administration has published "The 'Belt and Road' Geographical Indication Brand Promotion List" which includes 151 geographical indication (GI) products from countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Among these, 99 are domestic GI products. Nanning's GI product, "Hengxian Jasmine Tea", has successfully become one of only two GI products from Guangxi to be selected.

"Hengxian Jasmine Tea" is now featured on the Belt and Road Intellectual Property Cooperation website with Chinese and English descriptions highlighting the brand's history, characteristics, and advantages. This listing provides strong support for expanding international markets and boosting brand recognition, helping to enhance the global influence and competitiveness of GI brands.

Currently, Nanning boasts 13 geographical indication certification trademarks, 9 GI-protected products, and 1 national GI product protection demonstration zone. A total of 116 enterprises in the city use special GI labels. Among these, "Hengxian Jasmine Tea", "Wuming Orah Mandarin", and "Hengxian Jasmine Flowers" have consistently been ranked among China's Top 100 Geographical Indication Brands, with Nanning leading Guangxi in the number of entries.
